The 2026 mid-year reports for A-share companies are being unveiled sequentially, revealing exceptional performance from hard-tech listed entities. By August 25, 251 companies listed on the STAR Market had published their mid-year reports, collectively reporting a revenue of RMB 447.7 billion, marking a 29% year-on-year increase; and a net profit of RMB 54 billion, reflecting a significant 136% year-on-year surge. Industry experts have highlighted that, traditionally, corporate profits were heavily reliant on industrial cycles and scale expansion. However, the current profit growth observed in hard-tech companies signifies a paradigm shift, with growth now being primarily driven by the advantages gained through technological innovation and the resilience of industrial chains.
