On August 27, analyst Edward Ludlow pointed out that Nvidia's (NVDA.O) future supply commitments surged within a quarter, increasing from $119 billion to $279 billion. Nvidia stated that this growth is primarily aimed at ensuring memory supply. These commitments are not costs that have already been incurred, but rather are intended to secure components and production capacity to meet artificial intelligence demand over the next few years. Specifically, Nvidia's committed amount for the remainder of the current fiscal year is $92 billion, $87 billion for fiscal year 2028, and $88 billion for fiscal year 2029.
