Amazon and Nvidia have announced a partnership, with Amazon Web Services planning to procure 2 million Nvidia GPUs and introduce its new CPU—Vera. Nvidia revealed that some of AWS's Vera CPUs will be integrated with its upcoming AI chip, Rubin, while others will be used independently. Despite investor concerns that hyperscale customers may reduce spending, this deal indicates that these customers are continuing to ramp up their investments. Nvidia CFO Colette Kress expects that by next year, the capital expenditures of the 'top five hyperscale customers' will increase from $800 billion in 2026 to $1.3 trillion.
