On August 25, a group of Ethereum developers, among whom was Kevaundray, put forward a fresh draft of the Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP). This draft is designed to bolster Ethereum's defenses against potential threats posed by quantum computing in the future. It achieves this by introducing a "quantum-resistant deposit contract."

The proposal specifically advocates for the implementation of variable-length validator deposit contracts. Additionally, it suggests incorporating an irreversible mechanism for retiring BLS keys. Together, these measures are intended to pave the way for a quantum-resistant upgrade of validator deposit contracts.

At present, this draft remains in the initial "Draft" stage and has not yet proceeded to the review phase.
