Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has unveiled plans to earmark an additional ¥150 billion in the fiscal 2027 budget specifically for Rapidus, a leading domestic advanced semiconductor firm. This investment is aimed at facilitating Rapidus's transition to mass production of 2nm logic process technology, with a target of commercialization set for fiscal 2027, aligning with industry trends and global technological advancements.
