On Friday (local time), NVIDIA disclosed that, as of the conclusion of the second quarter, it possessed 122.8 million Class A shares of SpaceX. At that time, these shares were appraised at roughly $21 billion. Due to the downturn in SpaceX's stock price, the current value of these holdings has diminished to approximately $17.2 billion. These shares constitute NVIDIA's second-largest investment, trailing only its stake in Intel. NVIDIA ranks as the sixth-largest investor in SpaceX. The origins of these shares can be traced back to a $10 billion investment in xAI made in January of this year, which was subsequently acquired by SpaceX in February. Musk announced that SpaceX's AI data center will solely utilize NVIDIA chips and is anticipated to receive a substantial allocation of NVIDIA's Vera Rubin GPUs in the coming year.
