Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (CNCA) has given the green light to and published five industry standards concerning certification and accreditation, among which is the General Evaluation Requirements for Certification and Review of Automotive Chip Organizations. These five standards represent the world's inaugural capability evaluation standard system tailored for organizations operating throughout the automotive chip industry chain. This marks a substantial institutional milestone for China in its quest to construct an independently controllable automotive chip quality assurance system. The standard system delineates general evaluation criteria for the certification and review of automotive chip organizations, offering professional guidance and operational norms to a diverse array of entities, including design firms, certification bodies, testing labs, and computing power providers. It serves to bolster the professional capabilities of organizations spanning the entire industry chain, thereby ensuring the professionalism, consistency, and authority of automotive chip certification and review processes. This, in turn, expedites the quality chain progression from research and development to automotive application for domestically produced chips, laying a robust foundation for high-caliber industry development and nurturing a trillion-yuan automotive chip industry ecosystem.
