According to a report by TrendForce, due to the impact of U.S. chip export restrictions and the rapid advancement of China’s indigenous AI chip industry, domestic solutions are anticipated to command nearly 90% of China’s high-end AI chip market by 2026. In contrast, overseas offerings from companies such as NVIDIA and AMD are expected to retain only a roughly 10% share. Earlier reports have highlighted that China’s domestic AI chip shipments are forecast to hit 5 million units by 2026, boasting a compound annual growth rate of 50% for chips produced by manufacturers like SMIC and HuaHong. Additionally, shipments of China’s high-end AI chips are projected to surge by 83% year-on-year in 2026.
