As per reports, on August 10, Kang Hoon-sik, the Head of the Presidential Secretariat in South Korea, announced that South Korea will establish a specialized semiconductor fund amounting to 5 trillion won (approximately US$3.52 billion). This initiative forms part of a broader strategy to develop semiconductor industry clusters, with a particular emphasis on investing in emerging and promising companies specializing in chip materials, components, and fabless operations.
