On August 7, the Key Laboratory of Quantum Computing Chips in Anhui Province announced a significant breakthrough: the "Parameter Space Expansion Controlled-Phase Gate (PSE-CZ)" scheme, developed through a collaborative effort by Origin Quantum and the University of Science and Technology of China, has effectively resolved the long-standing challenge of balancing speed and fidelity in superconducting quantum computing. This innovation enables two-qubit quantum gates to operate at unprecedented speeds while simultaneously enhancing their accuracy. The groundbreaking research has been published in Physical Review Letters, a leading international physics journal, with experimental validation conducted on China’s independently developed superconducting quantum computer, Origin Wukong.
