Established in 2023 and based in Toronto, Canada, Taalas specializes in a groundbreaking technology that directly "etches" or "hardwires" the neural network weights and computational logic of specific AI models onto the chip's physical framework. This innovative approach achieves a seamless integration of storage and computation, effectively dismantling the "memory wall" bottleneck prevalent in conventional architectures. Consequently, it substantially cuts down on latency and elevates inference efficiency to new heights.

Taalas's chips are crafted utilizing TSMC's well-established manufacturing processes and incorporate high-speed SRAM storage, rendering them exceptionally apt for low-latency applications.
