On July 30, Samsung Electronics projected a substantial surge in its HBM4 sales for the third quarter, expecting an increase of over 200% compared to the previous quarter. Moreover, it is anticipated that HBM4 sales in the latter half of the year will constitute more than 60% of the total HBM sales. Samsung has outlined plans to elevate its global market share of HBM to a level on par with that of DRAM by the second half of the year. Notably, its DRAM market share stood at 38% in the first quarter of this year.
