On July 28, the Keelung District Prosecutors Office in Taiwan Province, China, announced the progress of a case involving the smuggling of NVIDIA AI servers by Supermicro, with seven individuals already under judicial custody. According to the prosecution's investigation, Zhang Denglong, a senior business development manager at NVIDIA, allegedly provided false documents when reviewing customer purchase qualifications, assisting in the approval of servers equipped with NVIDIA B300 chips, which were subsequently shipped to sanctioned countries. The case employed a method of 'legitimate ordering, false usage, and actual resale,' with the involved value reaching as high as NT$700 million.
