A-Shares' Three Key Indices Kick Off Trading on a Down Note, C Changxin Plummets Over 7%

On the morning of July 28, the A-share market commenced trading with its three primary indices all opening in negative territory. The Shanghai Composite Index dipped by 0.91%, the Shenzhen Component Index saw a steeper decline of 2.25%, and the ChiNext Index tumbled by 3.12%. The sectors bearing the brunt of the downturn included communication equipment, semiconductors, and computer hardware. Notably, stocks like C Changxin, GigaDevice, and Zhongji Innolight plummeted more than 7%, while Longsys witnessed a drop exceeding 6%. Conversely, the power generation equipment, banking, and baijiu (Chinese white liquor) sectors emerged as the top performers. Shanghai Electric surged more than 6%, and Gujing Gongjiu and Agricultural Bank of China both climbed nearly 1%.
