Recently, a research team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering—comprising Professor He Zuyuan, Professor Fan Xinyu, and Assistant Professor Wan Yangyang—has achieved a notable breakthrough in the field of computational spectral polarimetry. They introduced an innovative computational approach leveraging random media with resonant leaky modes and established a comprehensive theoretical framework for computational optical measurement systems. Building on this foundation, the team successfully developed a computational spectral polarimeter that integrates ultra-high resolution, broad measurement bandwidth, and compact design. The research findings have been published in the esteemed journal Nature Communications.
