On Tuesday, the two companies made a joint announcement stating that Fortinet will utilize Intel's wafer foundry services for the mass production of a new generation of security chips. This achievement signifies a notable leap forward for Intel's foundry business ever since CEO Chen Liwu took the helm. An Intel spokesperson verified that Fortinet's chip, designated as SP6, will be produced using Intel's advanced 4nm process technology, aligning with industry standards and expectations for high-performance chip manufacturing.
