The prices of DDR5 memory in the German market have been on a relentless upward trajectory, soaring to an all-time high. By July 2026, they had surged to 448% of the benchmark level set in July 2025. Data indicates a notable price spike in July, impacting a broad range of product specifications. Specifically, the cost of a single 16GB DDR5 memory module skyrocketed from around 300 yuan in 2025 to over 1,000 yuan in 2026, marking an increase of more than 230%. High-end 32GB×2 memory kits witnessed an even more dramatic price surge, with a 419% year-on-year hike, climbing from 1,600 yuan to 7,800 yuan. Some DDR5 memory chips saw their prices surge by over 600% within a single year, with cumulative gains in the spot market exceeding 300%, further underscoring the severity of the price increases.
