After experiencing a collective correction last Friday, storage chip stocks demonstrated a notable rebound during the morning trading session on the 20th, with several companies posting substantial gains. SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won remarked that the global semiconductor market is poised for explosive growth next year. Specifically, he projected that AI sector demand for semiconductors will surge by 60% to 100% compared to this year, while overall demand growth is expected to reach at least 50% to 60%. However, he also pointed out that new supply additions are anticipated to be virtually nonexistent next year, a scenario that could further widen the already significant supply-demand gap. He described the current supply-demand dynamics in the storage chip market as approaching a state of chaos.
In a separate development, Xiechuang Data announced on Sunday that it anticipates its net profit for the first half of 2026 to surge by 247.18% to 339.76% year-on-year. This projection also implies a quarter-on-quarter net profit change ranging from 0% to 53% in the second quarter.
