During the earnings briefing, Chu Hsien-kuo, the General Manager of PSMC, announced that the company will implement a 45% increase in its memory foundry quotes from July onwards. The corresponding production capacity for this price hike is anticipated to become operational in November. This strategic move is projected to significantly enhance the company's revenue and profitability, while also elevating the revenue contribution from its memory business segment. Furthermore, PSMC's proprietary OneX DRAM process commenced small-scale trial production in June. The company is now focusing on refining yield rates and obtaining customer certifications. Additionally, the Onep process, developed in collaboration with Micron, is set to complete equipment installation in the first quarter of next year. The goal is to achieve mass production by mid-2028, thereby continually propelling the DRAM process towards more advanced technological nodes.
