On February 21, 2024, Intel unveiled a new process roadmap at the IFS Direct Connect event, introducing the Intel 14A process technology and specialized node evolution versions. Intel 14A will introduce High-NA EUV lithography technology for the first time, adopting second-generation RibbonFET transistors and PowerDirect power supply technology. Trial production is expected in 2028, with mass production slated for 2029. Compared to Intel 18A, this process offers a 15-20% improvement in energy efficiency, a 25-35% reduction in power consumption, and a 20% increase in transistor density.
