Samsung Electronics has implemented a price increase of roughly 15% for new clients utilizing its wafer foundry services, with a particular emphasis on advanced process nodes, including 4nm and 5nm technologies, along with certain 8nm process nodes tailored for the automotive sector. Prior to this move, TSMC had already informed its key customers of its intention to raise prices by a range of 5% to 10%. Analysts have highlighted that, in contrast to TSMC's broader approach, Samsung's pricing strategy is more finely tuned, zeroing in on specific nodes that experience high demand.
