According to Huatai Securities, referencing data from BaiChuan YingFu, as of June 29, the price of domestic UPS-grade electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid stood at 7,885 yuan per ton, while UP-grade hydrofluoric acid reached 8,750 yuan per ton. These prices reflect respective increases of 19% and 17% since the beginning of the year.

In addition to the rising costs of raw materials such as sulfuric acid and fluorite, Huatai Securities notes that the expansion of AI computing capabilities and advancements in semiconductor manufacturing are significantly bolstering demand. On the supply front, there exists a global shortage of effective production capacity for G5-grade hydrofluoric acid, a market predominantly controlled by Japanese companies.

However, several domestic companies are ramping up their production capacities, and their advantages in downstream certification processes are becoming increasingly evident. This trend suggests substantial potential for increasing the localization rate of G5-grade hydrofluoric acid. Domestically produced electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid is poised to achieve large-scale substitution in the high-end wafer manufacturing sector. Therefore, it is advisable to closely monitor the profit growth opportunities arising from the concurrent increase in both volume and price of domestically produced G5-grade hydrofluoric acid.
