On June 29, Lee Jae-yong, chairman of Samsung Group, stated that the current situation is a race against time, and the updated plan will expedite the progress of Samsung Electronics' chip factory construction in the Seoul metropolitan area. The plan indicates that Gwangju in South Korea will be developed into a new memory chip manufacturing hub, while Cheonan and Onyang will become high-bandwidth memory (HBM) packaging centers. Additionally, Samsung Electronics plans to deploy humanoid robots and increase investment at its chip factory in Gumi.
