Fang Lue, Chairman of foundry firm VIS, stated that the overall 8-inch foundry market is experiencing a supply-demand imbalance this year, with sustained strong customer demand and order visibility extending 3 to 5 months. The market is expected to remain in shortage through 2026. Additionally, the company's new Singapore facility produced its first batch of 40nm trial chips in early June, achieving a yield rate exceeding 99%, with formal mass production scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
