"Kechuangban Daily" reported on the 27th that power semiconductors have emerged as a fresh growth frontier in the industry, following memory chips, owing to a substantial surge in the power consumption of AI computing clusters. This development has triggered a fresh round of price increases. A source from a power semiconductor manufacturer disclosed a notable uptick in AI-related power supply orders, surpassing their supply capabilities. As one of the select few domestic manufacturers capable of mass production, the company's offerings, encompassing primary power supplies like 800V HVDC for data centers and secondary power supplies for servers, have successfully penetrated the supply chains of several top-tier clients and achieved large-scale production, leading to robust order demand.
Several industry insiders are of the opinion that the ongoing cost-driven price hike cycle is set to continue, hastening the phase-out of low-end power device production capacity. Market share is expected to consolidate among leading chip companies that boast comprehensive IDM (Integrated Device Manufacturer) capabilities, extensive upstream integration, and engagement in high-growth sectors.
