This year, the A-share market has witnessed a remarkable expansion in the planned fundraising scale for both Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and secondary offerings, with the average fundraising amount hitting a phased zenith in May. In the backdrop of China's high-end manufacturing sector solidifying its pivotal role in the global industrial chain in recent years, there has been a pronounced acceleration in capital inflows into high-end manufacturing domains, including semiconductors, hardware equipment, and machinery. Consequently, the industry's fundraising landscape has undergone a significant transformation, skewing towards strategic emerging sectors. Specifically, in the initial five months of this year, the semiconductor industry has earmarked plans to raise over RMB 73 billion through secondary offerings, while the hardware equipment and machinery sectors have set their sights on raising over RMB 44 billion and RMB 23 billion, respectively.
As we look ahead to 2025, the projected IPO fundraising amounts for the hardware equipment, machinery, and semiconductor industries are all poised to surpass RMB 25 billion. Notably, the semiconductor industry is anticipated to raise close to RMB 80 billion, with the hardware equipment sector targeting over RMB 53 billion. Impressively, in the first five months of this year alone, the planned IPO fundraising amounts for these three industries have already exceeded the RMB 10 billion mark.
