According to the latest memory industry research by TrendForce, AI development is shifting from large-scale model training to agentic AI applications centered on inference, driving a structural increase in memory demand. Due to the difficulty in closing the supply gap in the short term, memory prices have risen accordingly. Based on this, TrendForce has significantly raised its projections for global memory production value, with the 2026 estimate increased from the original US$551.6 billion to US$889.3 billion, and the 2027 estimate revised upward from US$842.7 billion to over US$1.28 trillion, representing an annual growth rate of approximately 44%.
