The charitable foundation founded by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and his spouse has secured computing capabilities from CoreWeave, with the intention of gifting these resources to universities and nonprofit entities. The total worth of these donated assets now stands at $108.3 million, dedicated to bolstering advancements in scientific and artificial intelligence research endeavors. Furthermore, NVIDIA has committed to offering complimentary engineering support to select beneficiary institutions.
This act of philanthropy not only underscores Huang's personal magnanimity but also highlights NVIDIA's strategic endorsement of CoreWeave. NVIDIA is the architect behind the GPUs that CoreWeave supplies to its clientele. Earlier in January of the current year, NVIDIA made a substantial $2 billion investment in CoreWeave, thereby securing its position as the second-largest stakeholder in the company at that juncture.
