The General Office of the State Council has unveiled the "2026 Legislative Work Plan of the State Council," with a particular emphasis on sectors like technology and culture. As part of this plan, it will present to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for review the amendments to the regulations concerning the protection of integrated circuit layout designs, among other regulatory updates. The plan also includes submitting the draft Space Law for consideration, initiating the formulation of satellite navigation regulations, and revising the implementing regulations of the Copyright Law, among various other legislative initiatives. Concurrently, the General Office aims to refine AI governance, push forward with comprehensive legislation, and bolster legal frameworks to protect fundamental AI components such as data, computing power, and algorithms, while also overseeing critical application scenarios.
