On May 8, the A-share market exhibited a general weakening trend. The Shenzhen Component Index saw a decline of 1.06%, while the ChiNext Index dropped by 1.1%. The Shanghai Composite Index also fell by 0.6%, and notably, the STAR 50 Index took a significant hit, plummeting by over 3%. Among the sectors that experienced the most substantial declines were fluorine chemicals, memory chips, and non-ferrous metals.
