On April 29, the three major A-share indices exhibited divergent trends during the midday break. The Shanghai Composite Index eked out a marginal gain of 0.09%, whereas the Shenzhen Component Index edged down slightly by 0.06%, and the ChiNext Index slipped by 0.13%. Leading the upward charge were the semiconductor, leisure products, and real estate sectors. Notably, Shuhua Sports and Jintou Chengkai soared to hit their daily upward limits, and Cambricon witnessed a remarkable surge of over 17%. On the flip side, the gas, precious metals, and automotive sectors faced the steepest declines. Xinjiang Natural Gas plummeted by over 5%, Shandong Gold dropped by more than 3%, and BYD saw a decline of over 2%.
