A TSMC executive revealed that the company plans to open a chip packaging plant in Arizona, US, in 2029. Previously, TSMC stated in its January earnings call that it was applying for a license to build its first advanced packaging plant within its existing facility in Arizona. On Wednesday local time, the executive said at a conference in Santa Clara, California, that construction of the Arizona plant has commenced.
