SK Hynix, a supplier to Nvidia and the world's second-largest memory chip maker, announced record results, driven by a surge in demand for AI memory chips. Net profit for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 nearly quadrupled year-on-year to KRW 40.35 trillion, with sales surpassing KRW 50 trillion for the first time and an operating profit margin of 72%. The company plans to boost production capacity by expanding output at its Cheongju M15X plant, constructing the Yongin semiconductor cluster, and introducing EUV equipment to meet industry demand driven by AI.
