As early as the 2025 WWDC Developer Conference, Apple announced that macOS 26 Tahoe would be the last version of the system to support Intel processors. Starting from macOS 27, the system will only be compatible with Apple's self-developed processors, covering the entire M-series chips and devices such as the MacBook Neo equipped with the A18.
