On April 1, data from the 'March Import and Export Trends' report, issued by South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, revealed that the country's export volume for March experienced a significant year-on-year increase of 48.3%, reaching a record monthly high of US$86.13 billion. Notably, semiconductor exports surged by an impressive 151.4% compared to the same period last year, surpassing the US$30 billion threshold for the first time and totaling US$32.83 billion. Additionally, automobile exports saw a modest year-on-year growth of 2.2%, amounting to US$6.37 billion, while petroleum product exports rose by 54.9% to US$5.1 billion.
