On March 28, news emerged that since the start of 2025, the Beijing Institute for Brain Research, in partnership with Xinzhi Da Company, Peking University First Hospital, Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, and Beijing Tiantan Hospital, has been actively engaged in the clinical validation of refined motor decoding and Chinese speech decoding. This research aims to address motor dysfunction stemming from spinal cord injuries, strokes, as well as speech impairments caused by conditions like amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Notably, the "Beinao-I" intelligent brain-computer system has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing 7 human implant surgeries. These surgeries were performed on a diverse group of patients, including 4 individuals suffering from spinal cord injuries, 2 patients with stroke-induced hemiplegia, and 1 patient experiencing speech impairment due to ALS.
