On March 23, Tsinghua University held the appointment ceremony for Professor Seeram Ramakrishna, an internationally renowned materials scientist, in the Bingsuo Conference Room. Professor Ramakrishna has joined Tsinghua University on a full-time basis. Qiu Yong, Party Secretary of the University, and Li Luming, President of the University, attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Vice President Wang Hongwei. Professor Ramakrishna, known as the 'Father of Electrospinning Worldwide,' will promote the construction of a medical-engineering integration platform at Tsinghua and conduct research on intelligent wearable devices.
