In a podcast episode, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated that he has no intention of formulating a 'succession plan.' He pointed out that NVIDIA's existing daily operational mechanisms have effectively avoided the risk of becoming a 'one-man show.' Huang dissected the management logic behind rejecting succession planning, arguing that leaders should frequently and consistently transfer knowledge to their teams. He insists on public logical reasoning, enabling the organization to rely on collective intelligence for future operations through a knowledge-sharing mechanism. NVIDIA has established an extremely flat management structure, with 60 senior executives directly reporting to him. While granting autonomy to the team, Huang also maintains highly detailed micromanagement, requiring direct executives to submit their 'top five priorities' weekly to ensure precise control over the overall situation, achieving alignment in team cognition and strategy.
