The Co-CEO of ASUS, Xu Xianchao, has expressed that the memory shortage is likely to endure for the next two years. This projection is based on the extended expansion cycle of upstream DRAM manufacturers, with new production capacities not slated to become operational until the end of 2027. To ensure a steady supply of shipments, ASUS is actively engaging in negotiations with numerous suppliers to secure long-term procurement contracts spanning 3 to 5 years, a strategic move aimed at cost containment.

Presently, memory prices have surged, doubling from their levels in the fourth quarter of 2024. ASUS has indicated that it will implement price increases for its end products once the current stockpile of low-cost memory is exhausted.
