On March 11, Amlogic revealed during an investor research session that by 2025, its 6nm chips had reached commercial shipments of nearly 9 million units. These chips have garnered full recognition from international clients and the market for their technical maturity and product stability. Currently, these chips are widely utilized in the global operator market (ToB) and by well-known consumer electronics clients worldwide (ToC).
The company is now extending its 6nm process technology to a general-purpose end-side platform that boasts higher computing power. New products based on this platform are anticipated to make their debut in 2026, further diversifying and enriching its product lineup. It is projected that by 2026, the company's shipments of 6nm chips will surpass 30 million units. The scale-up and increase in volume (scaled-up production) are expected to further fuel business growth.
Additionally, in 2025, the company's sales of Wi-Fi 6 chips exceeded 7 million units, with a rapidly expanding market share, establishing them as a core product in the wireless connectivity sector. Looking ahead, the company has plans to introduce Wi-Fi router chips and Wi-Fi 6 high-speed, low-power chips. By 2026, shipments of Wi-Fi 6 chips are expected to exceed 10 million units, thereby further enhancing its market competitiveness.
