AI chip concept stocks experienced a dip in gains during both the morning and late trading sessions. However, they staged a robust recovery in the afternoon, with several stocks, including Potech and Hesheng New Materials, following the upward trend. On the news front, Groq has made the strategic decision to ramp up its production of artificial intelligence chips. Meanwhile, on March 4 (local time), Broadcom unveiled its financial results for the first fiscal quarter of fiscal year 2026, revealing a year-over-year increase in both revenue and net profit, surpassing market expectations. The company also projected higher-than-anticipated revenue for the second fiscal quarter. Notably, its AI business shone brightly, with AI semiconductor revenue projected to hit USD 10.7 billion in the upcoming quarter. Broadcom's CEO went as far as to predict that the company's AI chip sales would surpass USD 100 billion next year. Century Securities opines that Broadcom's stellar financial performance will provide sustained momentum to the industrial chain and advises focusing on core segments within it. Huaxin Securities, on the other hand, pointed out that price hikes in the semiconductor industry in 2026 will be differentiated, essentially mirroring the crowding-out effect of AI computing infrastructure on traditional production capacity. They recommend keeping a close eye on companies such as Illuvia Core.
