Leveraging its independently developed '12-inch platform,' Nexperia China has successfully commenced small-scale mass production of 12-inch wafer bipolar discrete devices. This accomplishment represents far more than a simple scale-up from 8-inch products; it entails a thorough optimization and redesign of the chip architecture. When compared to the 8-inch process, the 12-inch wafer bipolar discrete devices not only boost production efficiency but also enhance raw material utilization and drive down costs. Furthermore, Nexperia China's technical team has achieved mass production of Schottky rectifiers on this platform. These products have successfully passed automotive-grade standard certification, rendering them well-suited for automotive applications. Concurrently, the testing of new ESD protection devices has also yielded positive results, paving the way for their application in devices such as mobile phones.
