Insiders from the electronic component supply chain have disclosed that Texas Instruments (TI) is set to implement another round of price increases for certain semiconductor products starting April 1. This move will impact its analog and embedded product lines. According to distributors, the price hikes will span from 15% to a substantial 85%, applying uniformly across all customers and encompassing core products such as digital isolators and power management integrated circuits (ICs). It's worth noting that TI had previously raised prices by 10% to 30% in sectors like industrial control and automotive electronics. The underlying reasons for this latest price surge include escalating raw material costs, a booming demand for AI servers and new energy vehicles, as well as a supply-demand imbalance triggered by a reduction in 8-inch wafer production capacity.
