Data released by the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) in the United States reveals that global semiconductor sales soared to US$82.54 billion in January 2026. This marks a significant year-on-year growth of 46.1% and a month-on-month increase of 3.7%. Notably, the Asia-Pacific region and other areas (excluding China and Japan) exhibited remarkable expansion, with an impressive year-on-year surge of 82.4%. China, the Americas, and Europe also witnessed substantial year-on-year growth, with increases of 47.0%, 34.9%, and 26.1%, respectively. In contrast, Japan experienced a year-on-year decline of 6.2%.
