Last month, Samsung Electronics wrapped up the final round of negotiations with its key clients regarding the supply price of DRAM for the first quarter. The average price of general-purpose DRAM, which is widely used in servers, PCs, and mobile devices, has seen a staggering increase of approximately 100% compared to the previous quarter. This marks a significant doubling from the prices recorded in the fourth quarter of the previous year, with certain products even experiencing price hikes exceeding 100%. At present, the negotiation process has reached its conclusion, and some overseas clients have already settled their payments. It is particularly noteworthy that this price escalation has surged by approximately 30 percentage points within just a month, soaring from the 70% increase that was initially agreed upon in January.
