IT Home, March 4 News - This week, executives from Tesla's procurement division are scheduled to pay a visit to Samsung Electronics. Their aim is to deliberate on a significant expansion of the production capacity for the 2nm AI6 chip. According to reports, Tesla's monthly order volume with Samsung last year stood at 16,000 wafers. Now, there is an additional demand that has surged to 24,000 wafers per month. The AI6 chip serves as Tesla's "all-purpose" AI chip, finding applications in various domains, including electric vehicles, robots, and data centers.
