On March 4, during the inaugural "Members' Corridor" event at the fourth session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Pan Jianwei, the Executive Vice President of the University of Science and Technology of China, highlighted that China has made numerous strides in quantum science and technology during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. He noted that China has maintained its international leadership in quantum communication, secured a top-tier position in quantum computing on the global stage, and propelled quantum precision measurement to the forefront internationally across multiple domains. Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Pan emphasized that China will persist in bolstering original innovation, fostering deeper integration among industry, academia, and research institutions, and expediting the commercialization of research outcomes. These efforts aim to harness quantum science and technology to better nurture new, high-quality productive forces and drive high-caliber economic and social development.
