Nvidia-backed optical data transmission chip developer Ayar Labs announced on Tuesday that it has completed a $500 million Series E funding round, bringing the company's valuation to $3.75 billion. This round of funding was led by Neuberger Berman, with new investors including ARK Invest, the Qatar Investment Authority, and 1789 Capital, among others. With this latest round, Ayar Labs' total cumulative funding has reached $870 million. The funds will be used to expand production and testing capabilities, accelerating the deployment of its co-packaged optics (CPO) solutions to meet the demands of hyperscale AI.
