According to the latest report from industry chain research institution SemiAnalysis, NVIDIA has lowered the performance requirements for HBM4 high-bandwidth memory to be used with its next-generation 'Rubin' architecture GPUs. Previously, major suppliers SK Hynix and Samsung struggled to meet NVIDIA's aggressive bandwidth targets during the mass production phase. As a result, NVIDIA has adjusted its procurement strategy by relaxing the specifications, prioritizing supply stability, and planning to concurrently procure both top-tier and lower-tier versions of HBM4 to balance performance needs with supply chain security.
