Intel has officially kicked off mass production of its 18A process, a move that propels the United States to the forefront of the 2nm semiconductor node race and reaffirms its leadership in process technology. Nevertheless, Intel CEO Chen Liwu remains cautious. As reported by The Times of India, Chen Liwu highlighted the disparities in chip technology between China and the U.S. at the India AI Summit. He pointed out that despite Chinese companies being barred from acquiring the most cutting-edge equipment from firms like ASML, they are quietly pioneering alternative approaches and harbor confidence in their homegrown hardware capabilities.
